We are located in Winterville, Georgia, Oglethorpe County side, about 15 minutes from the University of Georgia, in Athens. We are in the rolling foothills leading up to the Blue Ridge mountain chain.
We began raising alpacas for a most pleasurable retirement income. It is alot of hard work, but we are having more fun than we ever have. We have met alot of people who we hope will be life long friends. The alpaca business is unique to any thing we have ever experienced. Yes! there is hard competition, but underneath, we all wish that every one to excels in this business because it is to all our advantages.
Little is known about these rare animals. We eagerly share anything that we learn from them and support the Alpaca Research Foundation so that these rare critters may survive to the best of their ability. We try to breed for excellent fleece, dense and fine. We try to breed for the healthiest offspring we can. We try to support our universities with large animal veterinary teaching holpitals so that they can give our animals the best care.
Taking care of these animals is not that hard. They are easily managed with minimal education.

It has been their job to teach me everything I don't know about farming. Of course, I had to teach them that I didn't know anything!
*****Pictured are Jimmy Jones who usually mans the cash register and pretends to charge me triple. Jason Fleeman, jack of all trades, can fix your car or build your barn; his brother, Byron Fleeman, the sweetheart in the bunch, always eager to help or sypathize with the hard time the other guys give me. He even gets even for me sometimes and they don't even know it!!! Last, but not least is the owner, Danny Sanders, full of community information, etc....(where to get this or that) and best of all.......just generally full of it!!!!
THANKS GUYS !!!!!!!!!!!!
